Notification preferences

Choose which topics reach you in the app and which are forwarded to your organization's channels — with a default that covers everything you don't set.

Your preferences live on the Notifications tab of your Profile — the gear on the inbox goes straight there.

The matrix

One card, one row per topic, and two switches on each:

Notification preferences matrix with All topics on top and one row per topic, each with an in-app and a channels switch and a Custom badge on the edited rows
The preference matrix — All topics sets the default, the rows below override it.
Switch
In-appWhether the notification appears in your bell and inbox.
ChannelsWhether it is also forwarded to the organization's Telegram or Slack channels.

The first row is All topics — the default that applies to everything you haven't set individually. Below it, one row per topic with a line describing what it covers.

A row you've changed is marked Custom. Rows with no badge are inheriting from All topics — the exception is marked, not the rule.

How a setting is resolved

Level looks for the most specific rule first:

This organization, this topic

The most specific setting wins.

This organization, all topics

The organization-wide default you set.

Everywhere, this topic

Your setting for this topic across organizations.

Everywhere, all topics

Your global default.

If nothing is set at all, everything is delivered in the app.

The two switches are not equals

  • In-app can always be switched off — it's your inbox.
  • Channels only does something if the organization has a channel configured, and channel delivery requires the Business plan. Turning the switch on in an organization with no channel changes nothing.

Channels also have filters of their own: a channel forwarding only critical events won't send your warning even with the switch on. Yours is a veto, not an override.
