Notifications
The bell, the inbox and the toasts — what Level tells you about connections, syncs, budgets and your subscription, and where it tells you.
Level watches a handful of things that break quietly — an ad platform connection whose token expired, a sync that keeps failing, a budget running away, a subscription about to lapse — and tells you when they do.
Everything arrives in the app by default. From there you decide what also reaches you in Telegram or Slack, and which topics you care about at all through your preferences.
The bell
The bell sits in the top bar on every screen, with the unread count on it (99+ past
ninety-nine). Clicking it opens the last ten notifications, with Mark all read on
top and View all notifications at the foot.
The count also appears next to Notifications in the profile menu, so it's visible on a phone where the top bar is narrower.
The inbox
Notifications in the profile menu opens the full list. It's built like every other list screen in Level:
- Two filters — All notifications / Unread only, and an organization picker.
- Mark all read, and a gear that takes you to your preferences.
- A table — an accent dot for unread, a type badge with a severity dot, and a When column that reads Today, 10:12, Yesterday, 18:05 or Sep 03, 10:00 in your own timezone.
Clicking a row marks it read and follows it to whatever it's about — the ad account
that needs reconnecting, the budget that drifted. The row menu (⋯) has Mark as
read for reading one without going anywhere. Scrolling loads more.
Toasts
A notification also pops as a toast in the corner only if it is a warning or critical — informational ones never interrupt. Toasts are throttled to one every ten seconds, so a historical load finishing across twenty-five ad accounts can't flood the screen. The bell still counts every one of them.
What Level notifies about
Four topics, each covering several events:

Topics are also the unit you subscribe to and the unit an organization channel filters by. Plans that include additional features add their own topics to the same list.
Severity
| Info | Something finished. No action needed. |
| Warning | Something needs attention soon — a connection that will expire, a budget drifting. |
| Critical | Something is broken now — a dead connection, a locked subscription. |
Severity decides whether a toast pops, and it's also the floor you can set per channel: forward only warnings and above to Slack, keep everything in the app.
