Managing organizations
The organization settings page — name, description and logo, notification channels, the danger zone — plus switching between organizations.
Once an organization exists, day-to-day there are three things you'll do here: open its settings (profile, notification channels), switch between organizations to work on different ones, and — rarely — delete one you own.
The settings page
From the Organizations page, open the row actions menu and choose Edit — or pick Organization › Settings in the sidebar for the one you're currently in. Either way you land on the organization's own settings page, which has two tabs:
| Tab | |
|---|---|
| General | Name, description, logo — and, for the owner, the danger zone. |
| Notifications | Telegram and Slack channels for this organization's alerts. Business and above. |
On General you can change:
- Logo — upload a new image (same crop dialog, same 5 MB / JPG/PNG/WebP/GIF rules), or remove the existing logo to clear it.
- Name — the trimmed name takes effect immediately on save; the URL identifier generated at creation does not change.
- Description — free-form text.
Saving updates the organization everywhere it's shown.
The organization switcher
The organization switcher lives in the top bar of the app. Click it to:
- See every organization you have access to, with logo and name.
- Search by name.
- Pick an organization to switch to.
When you switch:
- The selection is remembered for next time, so the same organization is active when you next open the app.
- If you were on an organization-scoped page (ad accounts, campaigns, segments, metrics, reports), Level navigates to that section on the new organization.
- If you were on a global page (connected accounts), the URL stays where it is; the active organization just changes for next time you open something organization-scoped.
What "active organization" means
Most pages in the app are scoped to one organization at a time. The URL contains the organization's system name — /acme-corporation/reports, /acme-corporation/ad-accounts, etc. — and Level reads only that organization's data.
If an organization is removed (or your access is revoked) while you're looking at it, the next page navigation flips you to the organizations list. Reload the app and the switcher re-syncs to an organization you do have access to.
Deleting an organization
Only the organization's owner sees Delete — in the row actions menu, and in the danger zone at the bottom of the settings page. Choosing it opens the Delete Organization confirmation, which lists what will happen — permanently:
- delete all of its ad accounts,
- erase all metrics collected for them,
- delete all segments, reports and budgets,
- revoke every API client issued in it,
- stop syncing this organization.
This cannot be undone. There's no archive or restore — if you might need the data again, keep the organization and stop its ad accounts' sync instead. Deleting an organization also frees up a slot against your plan's organization limit.
Things this page does not do
- Bulk-edit — each organization is edited individually.
- Reassign ad accounts between organizations — ad accounts are owned by their organization; to move one, recreate it on the target organization and delete it from the source.
