Date ranges in reports
Pick a date range and Level remembers it next time you open the report.
Every report has a date-range picker at the top, except Months reports (where each row is a month, so a window doesn't make sense). Pick a range and the KPI cards and the table refresh in place.

How to pick a range
The picker has two ways to set the dates:
- Calendar — click a start date, then an end date. Everything in between is selected.
- Presets — quick options like Today, This week, Last 30 days, MTD, MoM, QoQ, YoY.
Presets are usually the right choice — they keep the report current without any work from you.
Presets vs custom ranges
The two behave differently over time:
- Presets are dynamic. Last 30 days always means the last 30 days from today. Pick it on Monday, open the report on Friday — the range slides forward.
- Custom ranges are fixed. Apr 1 – Apr 30 always means those exact days. Pick it once and the report shows the same window forever.
Pick the kind that matches what you need:
- A live dashboard for a stakeholder → use a preset like Last 30 days so it stays current.
- A frozen snapshot for a review → use a custom range like Q1 2026 so the numbers don't move.
Future dates are blocked
You can't pick dates past today — the calendar greys them out. This week before the week ends works fine; the report just shows partial-week numbers up to today.
Level remembers your choice
Whatever range you pick — preset or custom — is remembered for next time you open this report. You don't need to set it again.
A few things to know:
- The choice is personal. A teammate viewing the same report can have a different range selected, and you won't see each other's picks.
- The choice is per report. Picking Last 30 days on the Q1 report doesn't change the date on the Brand report.
- There's no Reset button. To clear, just pick a different range.
What changes when you change the range
- KPI cards at the top recompute over the new window.
- Rows in the table show metrics for the new window.
- For Months reports the picker is hidden — the report shows every month with data automatically. Filter by narrowing the placements instead, if you need a smaller view.
Expect a brief loading state while Level refreshes the numbers.
Who can change it
Anyone who can open a report can change its date range — the pick is just for you, it doesn't affect what others see.
